Do I need a permit for an iron gate or railing in Los Angeles?
Freestanding decorative gates generally don’t require a permit. Railings attached to a structure, driveway gates with automatic openers (electrical permit), and gates over a certain height may require permits. We determine what’s needed for your specific project and handle all applications.
How do I maintain wrought iron work?
owder-coated iron requires very little maintenance — occasional washing with mild soap and water, and inspection for any chips or scratches that could allow rust to start. Touch up any bare metal with rust-inhibiting paint promptly. In Southern California’s dry climate, powder-coated iron can last 20+ years without significant maintenance.
